Who Is The Bride?

Who is the Bride? Rev 19:7 says (Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come and his wife hath made herself ready.) Verse 8 says (And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white; for the linen is the righteousness of saints.)

So we see, the Bride is the wife of the Lamb, but who is the wife? According to Rev 19:7, we know she will be introduced and formally brought before the public at the marriage of the Lamb. The word introduce in the dictionary means: to present. Eph 5:27 says (That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing: but that it should be hold and without blemish.)

So we see that the church is the Bride, the Lamb’s wife. And not only does Eph 5:27 makes it clear that the church is the Bride, the Lamb’s wife, it gives us the exact same description of the wife in Rev 19:8 (An she should be arrayed in fine linen clean and white.) The word arrayed means: to dress splendidly in rich apparel.

So the church is the Lamb’s wife, the Bride.

But who is the church? Col 1:21-22 says (And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.) Verse 22 says (In the body of the flesh through death to present you holy and unblameable and unreprovable in His sight..)

So you and I are the church. And just who is it that’s presenting the Bride, the wife, the church, and us unto himself? 19:7 (Let us be glad and rejoice and give honour to him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come.)

And who is the Lamb? St. John 1:29 (The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and he saith, behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sinof the world.) And verse 36 (And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith behold the Lamb of God.)

So Jesus is the Lamb, and the Bride is his wife and his wife is the church, and the church is you and I.
