The New Jerusalem Coming Down From God Out Of Heaven With The Adornment For The Bride
This question has been asked throughout the countries generations by common men and men of higher learning: What is the Adornment that John saw in the New Jerusalem. St John 21:2 (And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a Bride Adown for her husband.) The Scripture tells us that the Adornment that is coming Adorns from the inside out, and not from the outside in. The Scripture tells us that the Bride of Christ must make herself ready to meet the Groom at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Rev 19:7 (Let us be glad and rejoice and give honor to him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.) The word Adorn means something that is used to make a person or thing more beautiful, to enhance it. John saw the enhancement of the Bride which is the Church. The Bride is not some super natural being that will be transported here from outer space. The Bride is already here. The Bride is made by you and I. Ephesians 5:27 (That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing: but that it should be holy and without blemish.) Mankind has spent generations Adorning himself from the outside in with the Adornment of this world. Many great men throughout history have tried and failed. The Adornment of God is not the Adornment of man. You may try man’s Adornment on, but it will not fit. The Adornment of God must be put on from the inside out. It will not turn green on your finger or around your neck. It will not fade away and turn into dust. So what is the Adornment that is sent from God in the New Jerusalem that we, the Church, must put on? The answer is found in Romans 13:14 (But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lust thereof.) It is so simple. Jesus is the Adornment of God. We must put Him on. It is through Him we receive the Adornment of His Father. Rev 21:2 (And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a Bride Adorned for her husband.) The Adornment has already been prepared through the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross. Jesus is all the Adornment that we need.
